Frustrated!

Well last week was a good, positive post on how hard working Luke has been....this week not so much! Luke is being stubborn Luke this week not wanting to perform at all. He is given speech homework to do, and since Thursday absolutely refuses to do what she sends him homewith . The bad thing is HE CAN DO IT!!! Then, yesterday I took him for his evaluation with the PT/OT at school. He was totally out of sorts, not himself at all. He would not even point to his eye, nose, etc. when asked. I was one frustrated mother walking out of there because once again, I knew HE COULD DO IT!!! So, for whatever reason this week he is just not wanting to perform. He has had a lot of evaluations lately, so maybe he is just sick of doing it, who knows. I just pray this week is better, and that when he does start school in 3 months, they will be blown away at how much he can really do! That is what I love about Mondays, a fresh start, hoping for a good one:)

Stacey,
We certainly understand your disappointment with Luke's evaluation by the school folks, but we know for sure that Luke was only taking a small break from the great progress we have seen lately. He is much more willing to work on saying his letters and words. He has been making very real and determined efforts to communicate his thoughts and wishes. Your obvious dedication is having a huge impact! Go Luke!
