Well Luke has been rockin' it in his Physical Therapy sessions. His therapist said his last 5 out of 7 sessions have been great! He has started back to horse therapy, one day a week, and he is staying up a lot longer on the horse than he was last year when we stopped. In his weekly PT session, he has been busy doing lots of walking around (with assistance of course) the cul-de-sac at my in-laws house. This week at school he also had another great accomplishment, eating his entire lunch one day with a fork instead of his hands. Let's just hope he finally has the drive to work!!
This week we have also seen the ugly side of Luke. He has had major behavior issues at home and at school. It has been awhile since he has been this much of a challenge, so pray it goes away soon!! Thanks for checking in:)

Stem Cells
Just a quick post to let everyone know that a week from today we will be leaving for San Diego for Luke to get another round of stem cells. He is actually going to get the stem cells next Wednesday, February 9th in the morning. We are asking that you please PRAY we see amazing results from this infusion! We had already prepaid for this treatment as part of the treatment plan when we went in June. However, the doctor is going to give Luke three times as many cells as he got last time. So next Wednesday, please pray, that if it is God's will for Luke, amazing things are to come:) Thanks so much!!

Saddened and Sickened...
As I watch the news coverage of the horrific events that occurred in AZ over the weekend, I continue to be both saddened and sickened!!! Just another reminder that we are all just a phone call away from being on our knees. I will admit, watching the neurosurgeons and trauma surgeons talk about Congresswoman Gifford's condition, hits way too close to home. I wish I had no idea the things they were talking about, but the reality is, I can understand and comprehend everything they are talking about with her condition. She is very blessed to have survived, and her prognosis so far seems good. I am sure not many people can say they have survived a bullet thru the brain...amazing!! My thoughts and prayers are with all the injured and the families of those that passed away, especially the family of that sweet nine year old girl.
Luke has started back at school and now goes all day on Monday and Friday and half days on the other days. He continues to move around the house more and more in search of what he wants. The other day he was scooting into the kitchen, and I asked him what he was going in there for. He said "drink" plain as day!! We have no real plans for 2011 with him, I am going to continue with my motto, where he leads me I will follow! We are going to go back for his stem cell booster in Feb, it is too good of a deal with the booster to not do it.
I was reading a free book the other day on my Kindle. Honestly, it was an awful book, but I got sucked in and had to know the ending. When I got to the last page, I knew why I had stuck it out. In the last paragraph of the book were these words, "Don't give up before the miracle happens." So that will be my motto for 2011...we will never get up until we get the miracle we believe is coming!
Thanks for continuing to follow Our Gladiator!! I know Christmas is over too, watch for a new design coming to this page soon!
"...we went through fire and water, but you brought us to a place of abundance." Psalm 66:12
